The principal groups are the Ovambo (50%), Kavango (9%), Herero (7%), Himba, Damara (7%), Nama (5%), Caprivian (Lozi) (4%), San (3%), and Tswana (1%).
In addition to the Bantu majority, there are large groups of Khoisan (such as Nama and San).
